Hay Festival Feasibility Study

In 2024, we undertook a Feasibility Study for the Hay Festival Foundation Ltd (HFF) to review their business model and make recommendations for strategic change as a response to changes in leadership, developments in the political and financial context and in audience expectation. The Feasibility Study explored the flagship festival in Hay in addition to considering the wider potential of HFF in creating and disseminating dynamic content in new and exciting ways and formats.

We reviewed all aspects of the business with a team of industry experts, producing detailed recommendations. This included comprehensive reviews of the business plan, finance and commercial model, programming and engagement activity, brand development, international programme, festival site and logistics, sustainability and a digital review.
