The National Poetry Centre Leeds

FEI are supporting Leeds City Council, University of Leeds and Arts Council England to deliver the vision of the UK’s Poet Laureate, Simon Armitage, for a new home for poetry in Leeds. The National Poetry Centre’s Mission is to re-imagine and extend the poetry artform in an accessible, public-facing hub.

FEI initially delivered a Feasibility Study, including a strategic vision and options report, then a detailed Business Plan set out the financial implications for the Centre and a Fundraising Strategy proposed sources of capital and revenue funding. FEI has gone on to develop a Governance structure, set up a new Charitable Incorporated Organisation to run the Centre and is working on design development with architect, Gagarin Studio.

"FEI have supported the project through a number of stages, providing clear advice and strong advocacy. Their experience of similar developments has been invaluable, and they have been a great partner for this important project"
Ruth Pitt, Chair, National Poetry Centre Steering Group
