Kim Hart

Administrator

Kim is an arts administrator, researcher, and practising creative specialising in participatory placemaking. With over eighteen years in-depth experience of the festival, theatre, and literature sectors, Kim has a particular interest in culture and health and wellbeing.

Kim’s early career was in architecture and theatre design. As an arts administrator she has worked for Stage Management Association, Booktrust and then in 2006 took over the administration of British Arts Festivals Association which she ran for 12 years, expanding its sector facing events and conference calendar and introducing a new alliance with the higher education sector to facilitate the dialogue between the educators and the employers.

As well as being FEI’s Administrator, Kim’s expertise is in project administration, research and consultation. She has managed public engagement projects, mapped creative sector assets in various locations, researched benchmark reports for local authorities, festivals, and venues. Kim has managed hundreds of consultations and group workshops using a customised FEI methodology. She has managed the formation of a number of charitable organisations for clients. Kim was recently selected by Lambeth Public Health to design and lead a £100k Health & Wellbeing funding programme. An alumni of School for Social Entrepreneurs she is co-founder of a social enterprise that specialises in off-line community outreach. Kim is a member of the Culture, Health and Wellbeing Alliance and the Creative Industries Federation. In her spare time, she is a serial festival volunteer.
